Question time. Take a novel whose only point of existence was to be made into a bollywood movie some day, take out most of the non-bollywoodusque parts of it and supplement it with your own legacy, repeat some social/educational message again and again, get an over 40 actor to play an engineering student and add a stereotypical(read khadoos) director for the college. What will be the final product?

Answer: 3 Idiots

PS: I watched it yesterday today and the first half is mostly good but the second part is full of clichés, be it bollywood clichés or social commentary clichés. Sometimes when Aamir Khan is delivering one of his sermons you have to ask your neighbour whether you are still watching 3 Idiots or Taare Zameen Par. You can watch and enjoy it only once but no more. Mark my words, its no Andaz Apna Apna.
